Setiausaha politik presiden PAS, Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar mempertikaikan tindakan akhbar The Star menyiarkan semula wawancara "basi" yang menyatakan bahawa Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang tidak akan bertanding dalam pilihan raya umum akan datang.

Malaysia ranked 29th in Asia-Pacific press freedom index
PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is ranked 29th among 40 countries in the Asia-Pacific region in the Freedom of the Press 2012 report.
The report was released by US-based think tank Freedom House in conjunction with World Press Freedom Day on Thursday.
The ranking puts Malaysia below neighbouring countries like the Philippines (ranked 21), Indonesia (22), and Thailand (28), but above Singapore (32), Brunei (35) and Laos (36)...LAGI...

Independent panel to probe assault claims against journalists, says Hisham

PUTRAJAYA: An independent panel will be set up to investigate claims of police brutality against journalists covering Bersih 3.0, said HomeMinister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
His ministry made the decision after the Cabinet indicated that it was agreeable to the establishment of such a panel.
“At the post-Cabinet meeting, it was unanimously agreed that such a panel should be formed to get to the bottom of the allegations, which police have started investigating,” Hishammuddin said...LAGI...
